Things you need to know to get a job

Lots of people are unemployed in our society. Here are some tips on what you can do to overcome the unemployment problem:

one. Become a problem solver: Not everyone is a problem solver! In reality, following the 90/10 rule, only about 10 percent of the men and women in the average place are responsible for 90 percent of what happens. In Nigeria, for example, much less than 10 percent of the population determines what happens to the masses, the remaining 90 percent. The funny thing is that the masses spend a lot of time complaining about the actions and omissions of the ‘assets’ but rarely take matters into their own hands.

So it stands to reason that even when a crowd is interested in a job, employers would have a hard time employing a true asset. After all, they (the assets) are very scarce!

2. Have a good resume: Your Curriculum Vitae is not only what you put on paper but your character. If someone talks to you for a short period of time, that person forms an impression about you. That mindset is your real CV. You can’t hide it in the long run and that’s why it’s very important that you work on who you are. Form good work clothes. Be truthful, honest and resourceful. Be the best worker to have. Then he presents all of that on paper.

A good way to show that you are who you say you are is to have good grades. So make the most of every opportunity and be well certified for everything you can do. The purpose of the CV is really to provide proof that you are good at what you can do, so that you have a better chance if you have a well-accepted certificate. In addition, it shows that you have extensive knowledge. Let the potential boss know of his abilities that may not actually be in the line of duty for him. If you have good musical, written, oral, dance skills…, mention them (and include proofs).

3. Do not be boring! Even very boring men and women get turned on when they meet very interesting people. If you have an affable personality, you are very likely to attract a job. Don’t be too serious about filling out forms, answering interview questions, meeting people… I’m not implying that you come across as a clown if you’re not. I also don’t mean that you should look like a fool in the name of being funny. But show a normal sense of control by using good humor and restraint.

Four. Get to work: One problem many men and women have is that they prefer to wait for their dream job, even when it doesn’t come. I’m not a fan of settling for less, but I am of the opinion that if you’re lazy, you don’t deserve to eat. Find something to do. It could be going back to school for a higher degree or even taking a temporary job. You know that this is not your destiny. But if you start at one point, it is very likely that you will go far and end up where you want.

5. If you still can’t get a job, start your own! Okay, that’s not easy. How will you get capital? What about the required skills? If I can’t even get a job, how can I do well as an entrepreneur?

I won’t give the impression that entrepreneurship is for everyone. However, I am sure that it is feasible to start from almost nothing and build a great business.
