Steps to find a route buyer

Selling a route involves many processes, but the most hectic part of the process is finding a qualified buyer for the route. IDA is proud to help route owners obtain qualified route buyers. We use the following steps to find a route buyer

Step 1: raise awareness

The first step to take when finding a route buyer is to raise awareness of the route that is for sale. We create a list of the route and announce the route online to inform potential buyers of the availability of the route. We make use of all available marketing resources and also contact people who we know are capable of purchasing the route. The goal of awareness is to generate interest in potential buyers.

Step 2: Qualify potential buyers

The moment someone shows interest in the route, we start the qualification process. This process involves the completion of a confidentiality agreement (NDA) that states that the potential buyer will keep all information about the route confidential. Once this has been resolved, we begin to discuss the details of the route and how it works with the prospective buyer. We do our best to provide you with as much information as necessary to make an informed decision about the route. Once we are confident that the prospective buyer is a good candidate for the route, we proceed to verify the financial status of the prospective buyer to ensure that the prospective buyer has the financial capacity to make the purchase.

Step 3: connecting the buyer with the seller

Although IDA provides consultation for both route sellers and buyers, we ensure that potential buyers meet with the seller after the prospective buyer has been determined to be worthy of making the purchase. This allows both parties to discuss issues such as the schedule of the route, the main accounts, the selling price of the route, etc. They can also visit the route together.

Step 4: Negotiate the purchase price

We believe that all the information that we have provided to the potential buyer, together with the conversations with the seller and the accompaniment, would be sufficient for the potential buyer to make their final purchase decision. Once the decision has been made, the potential buyer submits an offer to the seller either directly or through IDA. We help both parties throughout the negotiation process. At the time an agreement is reached on the purchase price; we proceed to close the deal.

Step 5: closing the sale

At this stage, the company associated with the route handles all the necessary procedures for the purchase. Once all the paperwork is completed, the financing is approved. IDA makes sure the buyer is prepared for the closing of the deal. If we are sure that the buyer has all the information necessary to close the deal, we proceed to close the deal. The IDA commission expires only after the deal has been successfully closed.
