A special occasion deserves a party

We usually attend parties to celebrate some occasion. So we have birthday celebrations, graduation dinners, wedding receptions, events to welcome family and friends back home after a long period abroad, and events to say goodbye to people going abroad. The young knights and ladies celebrate their eighteenth birthday with a debut party to signify their entry into society.

Parties to celebrate friendships

Some celebrations can take place without any special occasion. These are often called ‘gatherings’ and are usually organized by a group of friends for no other reason than to enjoy each other’s company. These are often scheduled for weekends when everyone is off work. Food is provided ‘potluck’ style where everyone serves their favorite recipe.

Both young and old love music and dance occasions. Music brings out the fun lover in all of us. Music can be played in the living room where guests gather before and after the party food. The type of music played can set the mood and mood for the party. It also provides a good stimulus for conversation.

Many people fall silent in a room that is quiet. This is probably because they are shy with their opinions and prefer to speak up when what they have to say doesn’t attract much attention. Music is a good way to get your guests to interact. But if you really want to unfreeze everyone, have them dance to the music.

Dinners are usually more formal. The term has always been associated with candlelight, fancy dresses, and silverware. This type of party is usually given to honor important guests, family members and close friends. Entrepreneurs can honor their associates with one. Most adult birthday parties turn out to be dinner parties.

Food can be served on a long banquet table for formal celebrations. Instead, for semi-formal dinners, the food is usually placed on a long buffet table. Guests are provided with a round or square restaurant-style table on which to place their food and drink.

Sometimes all the host will provide is the venue for the party and the necessary dining accessories. The guests themselves bring food. Each guest brings enough food for everyone. The menu for this party is decided well in advance and everyone is assigned or volunteers to cook something. This type of party is suitable for community events with the party venue being a church or a community hall.

There are also exclusive celebrations for ladies or exclusive for gentlemen. ‘Bachelorette Party’ events are usually organized by clubs that are dedicated to activities, goods and services associated with women. For example, knitting clubs, companies that sell women’s lingerie and beauty products can organize hens to promote their activities or products. ‘Stag do’ events are usually drinking parties with food served in the motley style. These can be organized for no other reason than to enjoy the evening with friends.
