I would definitely love to choose to dress up as a character from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. My choice would have to be to dress up as Tim Curry as Frank N Furter. This was my favorite character and probably the best known in the movie. He was best known for his horny transvestite appeal and therefore would be my pick for an unusual, shocking, and highly creative costume.

Wearing a sweet Frank N Furter transvestite costume would require me to put all modesty aside and come out half naked, but I think it would be worth it. I would probably put the costume myself together with different clothes, but I wouldn’t buy a pre-made version because then I wouldn’t be able to show my creativity and it would probably cost a lot more than going to a thrift store and buying the pieces myself.

I’d go to a costume store first and buy a cheap wig that looks like Frank N Furter’s hair. If my memory serves me correctly, it was a bit curly and black. When I say costume shop, I really mean one of those cheap seasonal Halloween shops that pop up in late September and early October, but I’m sure I can find it online too.

So while I was at the Halloween store, I would buy a cheap tube of white cream for my face, or since I don’t normally wear prostitute red lipstick, I could buy a cheap pack of costume makeup. The kind of package that has white and red face paint for the lips all together.

While at the Halloween store, I would buy a pair of sticky fishnet pantyhose for like $ 1.00. You would probably save money if you did it this way. Next, I would head to the local thrift store and leaf through the lingerie section and try to find some kind of bodice that I could cut across the front and tie myself. Last time I was at the thrift store, believe it or not, they actually had tons of bustiers with the garter accessories you would need for the costume.

Good Will is where I usually find what I need for most of my Halloween outfits. I guess a Frank N Furter costume will be no different. Then she would grab a black bodice with garters. Then I would find elbow-length gloves and cut off my fingers. These gloves would be black. Then I’d find the stickiest pair of platform heels I could find and a pair of black spandex biker shorts. I would cut the shorts to look like panties.

Then I’d have to buy spray glitter and go crazy with it all over the outfit. Then I would put on my wig, paint my face white with red lips, and dress in the shiny bodice, gloves, and put the garters on my fishnet stockings. Then I could even throw a long vampire-like cape at me for full effect.

This is why Halloween is my favorite holiday, because you can get creative and dress up as anything you want to surprise your friends. And when I think of shocking, I don’t know about you, but who else comes to mind but Frank N Furter? Tim Curry in drag? A sweet transvestite costume? Now we are talking. And if you want to act out your best Rocky Horror fantasy, then you couldn’t do better than wear an authentic Frank N Furter costume for Halloween.
