Internet Marketing: Blogging as an Effective Internet Marketing Tool, Part 2

Why should we use blogs as an internet marketing tool?

Blogging is free and it’s simple. It is easy to maintain. It has a sense of authenticity in a field where more and more people are becoming increasingly skeptical of the claims of marketers.

However, there are three other very important reasons why we should consider blogging as part of our Internet marketing strategy.

Blogs build credibility. As you get into the habit of posting regularly, as you add more and more highly relevant content on a particular topic, niche, or product, your readers will realize they can trust you. You will be recognized as an expert. This recognition will attract more visitors, more bloggers will link to your blog, increasing your network.

Blogging means residual income. Businesses are always looking for effective ways to advertise. When they see the strength and popularity of your blog, don’t be surprised if you are offered advertising opportunities. Affiliate program managers may also approach you with a request to sign up for their program and promote their product.

A word of caution here. Having gone to great lengths to build a highly respected and trusted blog, don’t throw away your valuable reputation by promoting inferior products or advertising substandard companies. Remember that credibility and trust are everything.

Blogs build their market by…

Attract Subscribers – Give your visitors every opportunity to sign up for your newsletter, eCourse or get some free bonuses and capture their subscription details, building a happy and loyal list. Only be responsible in the use of your email address. The last thing you want right now is comments on your blog that you’ve been guilty of.

Changing Your Email Marketing – Just look at the number of very successful internet marketers who are replacing detailed emails with shorter emails that include links to their blog. Think about it. Your email may only be visible to your subscribers, may be deleted or quickly read and forgotten. An entry on your blog can be permanently archived and available to the entire Internet.

Collecting important feedback and customer data – Give your subscribers and visitors the opportunity to give you feedback on a post, or when customers tell you what their current needs are. It is likely that the more comments you receive, the more you will gain and give your readers the opportunity to share their views with others. Who knows, you might get a very solid lead on your next profitable project.

Boost your business by using blogs effectively as an internet marketing tool.

Regularly monitor your traffic, measure your results. Invite comments and suggestions. Remember to link to your blogs from your website(s) and regularly encourage your subscribers to visit your blogs.

Once you have done all these things, you can now enjoy the benefits of business blogging.
