Having a clean kitchen is no longer just a dream with these tips

Every kitchen needs regular cleaning to look its best. However, have you noticed that some kitchens look cleaner than others every day? And I bet it’s not like one hausfrau cleans better or more often than the other. The whole trick is in designing the kitchen with a clean look in mind.

When designing your kitchen, try to select a pattern rather than a solid color. It is a fact that solid colors very easily show the marks and stains that are hidden in patterned surfaces. Try to avoid using white as it looks more. Get some cutting boards and pads to remove hot food from the oven, as this will easily prevent scorch marks.

Although glossy surfaces show marks very quickly, they are also some of the easiest to clean, simply by wiping down the surface with soapy water and a soft cloth.

The doors of the kitchen cabinets must be flat and without any grooved detail, since they tend to accumulate dust, residues and grease very easily in their crevices. The cabinet handles to avoid are the ones that are molded into the cabinet because they are a nightmare to clean.

Kitchen backsplashes are perfect for your kitchen, especially if they are made of glass, granite, stainless steel or special plastic. If you have a large, smooth piece, it will be easier to clean every time. I always prefer this to having tiles in my kitchen. The reason is that the place between the tiles gets dirty very quickly and needs to be cleaned frequently. Instead, you can use ceramic or mosaic tiles for the walls, as well as for the floors.

Did you know that vinyl is not only one of the oldest materials used for the kitchen, but it is also one of the best to use for kitchen flooring? It can be laid extremely easily and professionally. You can also use wood or laminate for the floors. Try to avoid kitchen rugs at all costs!

It is generally best to use flat surfaces for your kitchen. For example, it is much better to use a ceramic or ceramic hob than to use a normal gas cooker that has to be disassembled piece by piece for cleaning. The fewer small spaces and crevices you have between flat surfaces, the better.

Get yourself automatic appliances in your kitchen, too, like a dishwasher that makes it easy to clean dirty dishes and cookware, and a touchless trash can. This way you will not only keep your kitchen clean, but also your hands, since you will not have to touch them when throwing that garbage into the bin.
