Review – The Gaggia Platinum Vision Espresso Machine

You don’t have to go to Italy to enjoy a real espresso or cappuccino. But you will need a real Italian espresso machine. Gaggia SpA is the Italian manufacturer of espresso machines for home use, and its name is identified with convention and reliability all over the world. The company was created in 1948 by Achille Gaggia, the person to whom we are indebted for the success of espresso coffee around the world: it was this man who on September 5, 1938 registered patent number 365726, which in due course evolved into the modern. espresso machines that we know today. In 1977 Gaggia began manufacturing home coffee machines, giving the Italian market Baby Gaggia, which to this day is considered the ideal family coffee maker. Gaggia espresso machines are still exclusively made in Milan, Italy, where pride in craftsmanship meets current technology to make exquisite, easy-to-use machines.

Always great espresso

Making a great shot of espresso has never been less complicated. The Gaggia Platinum Vision espresso machine delivers just the right amount of energy behind every sip of espresso. The Gaggia system offers a maximum of 15 bars of pressure, more than enough to perform each and every shot.

An additional fantastic design feature that you will recognize the value of is the fast steam boiler system. This system will allow you to immediately switch between preparation and steaming without waiting for long reheating times. The quick switch allows you to begin the process of steaming and frothing your milk while your espresso remains at its optimal temperature.

Every time you brew, the Gaggia Platinum Vision grinds espresso beans just for that shot, ensuring the freshest taste. Brewing a fresh cup of coffee is as easy as pressing an icon on the machine’s touch screen. You can select from three icons, which appear as cups, which when pressed will brew a small, medium, or large espresso. If you are brewing two cups, all you have to do is press the button twice and the machine will measure and grind the precise measure of beans, and brew two perfect cups of your chosen coffee beverage.

Ground beans exactly how you like them

The ceramic burr grinder silently produces an even, non-static grind. When you use the grinder adjustment tool that comes with the machine, you can also adjust the grind settings between fine, medium, and coarse. Sealable bean hopper holds approximately 8.8 oz. of your favorite roasted whole beans. When you start to run out of espresso beans, the machine will inform you by notifying you with a message to add beans. It’s silly!

Espresso Plus System

Does your better half like coffee a little stronger than you? Using the Platinum Vision Machine is no problem because all you have to do is turn a dial to adjust the strength and body of each coffee drink. Leave the dial pointed to the center for a normal strength drink, but turn it counterclockwise for a milder brew or clockwise for a stronger brew.

Adjustable dose system

Another way to enjoy your coffee even more is to modify its preparation. With the push of another button, you can choose the amount of ground coffee that will be used to make your ideal cup. You can adjust the amount of espresso beans to grind from 7.5 to 10 grams.

How cool is this? A cup lift

When brewing a cup of coffee, your mug is placed on a spill tray that can be adjusted in height according to the size of your coffee cups. With the push of a button, the height of the drip tray will be electronically adjusted. Always empty and thoroughly clean the cup tray every day with lukewarm water.

Another must have: a mug warmer

If you want a good cup of coffee, you should prepare it directly in a warm mug. Why? Because preparing it in a cold cup will instantly lower the temperature of your preparation and you will not get the optimal cream. Not good.

Pannarello Sparkling Wand

Foaming milk for a cappuccino or latte is easy with the Gaggia Platinum Vision Foaming Wand. The Pannarello accessory lets you steam and froth milk just as well as the lady behind the Starbucks counter. When you’re ready to steam and froth your milk, just press the steam icon on the touch screen. This takes you to the steam / hot water submenu. Find the word “steam” on the touch screen and press it, then turn the steam knob on the left side of the machine. Get prepared! Foam and steam!

Gaggia’s Milk Island (included if you know where to buy this machine)

The Gaggia Milk Island was designed to connect easily with the Gaggia Platinum Vision machine to make it much easier to froth and steam milk for a great latte or cappuccino. It’s as easy as turning the steam knob to the “milk island” setting and the machine will steam and froth your milk effortlessly.

It’s like having your own barista in your kitchen

What could be better than being able to enjoy a perfect, creamy latte within minutes of getting out of bed and taking it to the patio to watch the sun rise? What if you never had to grudgingly wait in line once again for your morning reveal? No more tips! Just a cup of coffee made the way you like it the most. You can even use Starbucks espresso beans!

In my experience, a good-quality cup of coffee, regardless of how you drink it, is best savored in a bathrobe and not while driving to work.
