HTC Evo 4G: a specification review

A well-rumored new Android phone these days is HTC Evo 4G launched last Monday by Sprint. A high-quality phone with a host of exciting new entertainment packages. It is the first Android phone with a 3G / 4G network from Sprint. Now let me stop and jump right into the actual specs.

Screen and dimension

HTC Evo 4G has a 4.3-inch touch screen with multi-touch capability and it weighs just 6 ounces. It runs on Android OS 2.1 plus HTC Sense UI.

Functionality and memory details

It has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB ROM, and 512MB RAM. It has an internal memory of 1GB and a microSD slot expandable up to 32GB.

Connectivity status

All the latest connectivity tools are present in HTC Evo. Like you could have Bluetooth 2.1 on it. A microUSB 2.0 and a Wi-Fi (WLAN) function. The amazing feature of this Wi-Fi is that it can connect up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices. So I think no other tool is required.

You can have full access to the Internet through HTC Evo 4G. You can share things directly from your computer to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, Sprint applications. It also has Google mobile services (Google Search, Google Maps, Google Talk, G mail, You-tube and syncs with Google Calendar)

Camera and sound

HTC Evo 4G includes a dazzling 8 MP camera with autofocus and HD capability. A 1.3 MP front camera is also available for video telephony. Sprint also hails great sound quality. Nice 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and HDMI out port. A built-in hands-free kickstand is also included.

There is also a wide range of other features that enhanced the star value of HTC Evo 4G. Digital compass, G-sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, GPS, FM radio, visual voicemail, and much more. A 1500 mAh lithium battery is included.
